This divine margarita uses Hawaiian black sea salt to add a unique smokiness, as well as a stunning aesthetic appeal.

Well-balanced with tequila and mescal with a delicate non-intrusive hint of sweetness, this will quickly become the only margarita you’ll ever cherish.

  • 1 ½ oz  4 Copas Tequila
  • 2 bar spoons fine ground sugar
  • ¼ oz Mezcal Agave based spirit
  • ½ oz Cointreau Orange Liqueur
  • 1 oz fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • ½ oz fresh squeezed lime juice
  • Hawaiian black sea salt


Prep a Collins glass by rimming it with Hawaiian black sea salt to add the ‘omata’ flavor, a smoky note. Just take a quarter slice of your lime and run it around the glass rim and top ½” of the glass. Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker, shake without ice. Add fresh ice to the Collins glass, strain and garnish with a squeeze of lime.
